Mouldy Oldies
Well, people still link to them, so we might as well acknowledge they are here. Back in the days of yore, we had a little computer security company. Some of the content we created back then is still relevant today. Some of it isn’t. Either way, here for your amusement and edification are pointers to the old Codetalker scrolls.
Disclaimer: Most of this stuff is still in ugly old non-compliant HTML. If any of these pages get popular, we may do something to clean them up. Or we may not. Caveat Reador.
- Whitepapers
-
Even in our formative Codetalker years, we tried to produce some relevant, factual content once in a while. This part of the collection represents the factual variety. In their day, these whitepapers were intended to further the awareness and discussion of security issues and technologies.
- Comments
-
Whenever we failed to produce relevant, factual content, we would fall back on good old editorial. This is an archive of the Codetalker commentary pieces.
- Downloads
-
In the day, we kept a list of what we thought to be the most useful files and tools for your average information security professional. We also kept a local copy of those tools, in case the original sources ever vanished. We didn’t sign or verify the contents of these packages in any way, yet people still continue to download them. Trusting bunch, aren’t you?
- Digests
-
The Codetalker Digests were actually a fairly useful, but highly time consuming distillation of the month’s security news. When we got them out, they were pretty good. When we didn’t, well, we were probably out being profitable.
- Advisories
-
There was a time when computer security advisories were hard to come by. As a service to the world, we would carefully collect and organize these documents—again without signing or authenticating them in any way. Our archive spans the period from October 1994 to May 1999.
