The Finnish Forest Museum, by Kaira-Lahdelma-Mahlamäki Architects, provided our team with an excellent case study in detailing a wall section. What it didn’t provide was a ready cache of construction drawings. Our 1:5 model was pieced together from tiny sections and reasonable estimations based on Canada’s climactic similarity to Finland. Modeling credit must also be extended to Juliet Pitts, Erik Cunnington, Jay Gilman and Marty Patriquin.
