Abstract
This thesis investigates how the combination of poetry, programme and site can be used to develop a heightened architectural experience for the process of brewing. Drawing from the allegory of John Barleycorn and its similarity to a Passion Play and organized through a three-way spectrum of community, experience and process, vivid imagery is layered through collage, modeling and drawing to produce engaging architectural events in a notional brewery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
