Ebooks

Public domain etexts hosted at the pd.o.

If you set the beer, rants, and boot sectors aside for a bit, what the pd.o is really all about is content. That is, the production of fresh, steamy treats of intellectual gooeyness. Obviously, our main vehicle for delivering this content is the rant. We do, however, have other diversions—some might say, obsessions—one of which involves the public domain.

We have taken it upon ourselves to borrow from the richness of the public domain and deliver high-quality, XHTML 1.1-validated marked-up works of classic origin to you, our worthy reader. Unlike certain other purveyors of electronic literature, we claim no rights on the fruits of our labour; that is, we release these works to the public domain.

The following works were chosen largely by whim, though they represent a fairly accurate indication of which classic works the Pint Boys are interested in at the moment.
